Benefits of Perfect Fit Blinds - #2 Child safety
24/10/2008
This is the second in a series of articles which will discuss why we think perfect fit blinds are such a great product. This article focuses on Child Safety. Certain types of Perfect Fit blinds have the benefit of being child safe.
Most blinds have control cords which dangle down and cause a risk to children - who can become tangled up in these cords. It has to be mentioned that accidents like this can cause fatalities, so please consider that when choosing a blind.
Fortunately, where this is a risk, cords can be ordered so that they hang above a certain height. Or another idea is to use tie backs. Call 0161 367 9013 for more info.
Perfect fit blinds have a distinct difference to normal blinds in that that they do not require drilling and screws to be installed. They simply clip fit. We’ve mentioned this time and time again, so you probably already know this!
One of thing you may not realise about Perfect Fit blinds is that there are 4 different perfect fit blind types that don’t even use a cord for operation, obviously this is a great benefit if you have children to watch out for.
Perfect Fit Roller Blinds – It is easy to understand why roller blinds are child safe, instead of a cord system roller blinds are adjusted by simply raising and lowering the blind using the handle, which is on the bottom bar of the blind.
Perfect Fit Pleated Blinds – These operate in the same way as roller blinds – using a handle on the bottom bar of the blind. The key feature of perfect fit pleated blinds is that they except they have a pleated or zig zag fabric effect. Pleated fabrics offer a soft diffused effect. Pleated blind fabrics will have discrete guide cords running from the top to the bottom of the blinds.
Perfect Fit Pleated Cellular Blinds – Otherwise known as honeycomb, Pleated Cellular Blinds do not have visible guide cords, as the cords run through the middle of the Honeycomb structure. The handle which operates the blind is again on the bottom bar of the blind.
Perfect Fit Cellular Blackout Blinds – This type of blind is exactly the same as the above, the only difference being blackout fabrics are used instead of the usual light diffusing fabrics. This gives you the blackout effect.
The above four types of blinds all utilize a system where you simply raise or lower the blind to where you would like it, eliminating the need for a cord and keeping your home child safe.
