Below is a really good infographic produced by the Met Office about Pollen in the UK. It displays some useful facts about pollen:

1 in 5 people in the UK suffer from hay fever.
The timings of the main pollen seasons.
The grass pollen season, the one that causes most problems for hayfever sufferers starts soon, in mid to late May.
The hot spot for pollen in the UK is the South of England.

Also, interestingly, for those who enjoy a glass of wine or a beer on a summer's evening - alcohol worsens hay fever symptoms!
