Child Safe Blinds

At NewBlinds.co.uk, we take child safety very seriously.

Window blinds, or any product with loose or freehanging cords for that matter, are a potential safety risk to small children and babies. Whils playing with or around the cords it is possible for children to slip and become entangled in the cords. In the worst case scenario, this can lead to death by strangulation.

Even if cords appear unreachable, it is also important to consider if the cords are reachable from positions other than the floor. Such as if a child is standing on a sofa or a cot.

At NewBlinds.co.uk, we are leading the way in child safety by negotiating deals with our suppliers which will allow us to offer child safety options on all our blinds, such as tie backs, anchors or in some cases removing the need for control cords altogether.

In the near future it will be possible to chose from these options when configuring your blinds.

In the mean time, if child safety is a concern in the location where you are installing your blinds, please ring us on 0161 367 9013 before placing your order so one of our team can advise you. It is important to only install your blinds once the appropriate child safety devices have been received.
