Choosing your mesh type.. Flyscreen, Midge, Pollen or Pet Screens?
06/09/2012
At Newblinds.co.uk, we are always developing our range of products. This summer we have developed our range of flyscreens further to include a number of new screens featuring specialist mesh types. These include midge mesh, pollen mesh and pet mesh to supplement our existing range - standard fly screen mesh, aluminium mesh and stainless steel mesh.
This post explains the 6 different types of mesh that are now available at NewBlinds.co.uk:
Standard Fly Screen Mesh: Our standard mesh type which is available with the majority of screen types - such as roller screens, hinged or sliding framed screen doors, mesh panel doors, framed and telescopic window window screens. It keeps out normal flying and crawling insects, but not midges. To browse our collection of fly screens, follow the link.
Midge Mesh keeps out smaller flying pests such as scottish highland midges using fine mesh with 20x20 or 20x30 holes per square inch. Midge mesh is available with roller screens (20x20 only), framed window screens, hinged and sliding doors. It is also available as mesh only by the metre. To browse our collection of midge screens, follow the link.
Pollen Mesh is an ultra-fine mesh that allows fresh air to circu late but keeps out both pollen and flying insects. Ideal for hayfever sufferers, we have a range of pollen screens for every application and budget, including roller screens for windows and doors, framed window screens and mesh only window screens. Pollen mesh is also available in mini-rolls. To view our collection of pollen screens, follow the link.
Pet Mesh: Phifer TuffScreen (a.k.a Pet Mesh) is a heavy-duty insect screening mesh that is ideal for use in high-traffic areas. It is pet-resistant and tear and puncture-resistant. TuffScreen is three times stronger than regular insect screening mesh. Pet mesh is available in roller screens for windows and doors, framed window screens, hinged and sliding doors and as mesh only, by the metre. To browse our collection of pet screens, follow the link.
Aluminium and Stainless Steel Mesh: These mesh types are our most durable, and are more suited to commercial environments. They are available to purchase by the metre. To view aluminium and stainless steel mesh, follow the link.
