We are often asked what the maximum widths for wooden blinds are. Another question is what side are the controls and is there a choice? Below are the answers to these two questions and an explanation why.
The maximum size for all wooden venetians is 2400mm or 8 feet.
Because of the weight wooden blinds over 2400mm would simply be too heavy for the other blinds components to handle whilst maintaining easy operation for the user. Another reason for the restriction is the maximum length of wooden slats used to manufacture wooden venetian blinds being 2400mm.
If you would like venetian blinds over that width wood-effect aluminium blinds may be a better alternative, as the maximum width of wood-effect venetians is 4000mm.
On all wooden blind the controls are split, tilt left and raise right
The maximum size for all woodweave blinds is 2000mm or 6 feet and 8 inches. On woodweave blinds you can choose which control sides you would prefer.
